On Tuesday, July 10th, the Medical Center Foundation celebrated the 28th year for the Goldbug Golf Classic. The day was filled with excitement and tons of fun. All the guests arrived and had one thing on their mind, DRIVE for RIDES. This fundraiser is a favorite in the community. There are many people who participated and volunteered their time to helped raise funds for the Medical Transportation Program. Over $20,000 was collected and set aside to fund the very needed program that gets community members to and from their doctor appointments. The weather was picture perfect and the greens were just right for a day filled with golf and networking. Golfers all agreed that an afternoon golfing is just what is needed to make life a little better. Every year this event educates the community on the need to help others with the transportation to and from their doctor appointments. When Deb Holtan was asked about this Goldbug Golf Classic, she said, “We are blessed to live in this community. It is filled with kind and loving people who want to help others. We can not do this work without the community’s help. Thank you for helping us help others.” Next year the Goldbug Golf Classic will be July 9th, 2019.
