A Night to Remember
On October 3, Jared Abbrederis arrived and the Medical Center Foundation Celebration and shared his journey of hard work and a desire to play football professionally. Along the way he became part of a State Championship team in Wautoma, WI. He was a walk on for the WI Badgers and was drafted in the 5th round by the Green Bay Packers. He shared that he understood that hard work, family values and his God were all part of his journey. He never forgot the importance of valuing the little things and staying focused. Silverado Senior Care sponsored Abbrederis’ appearance along with a number of anonymous donations. While at the Celebration, Abbrederis answered all kinds of questions about his time with Aaron Rodgers and how hard are Rodger’s throws? Abbrederis’ answer, “They’re really hard, but he can also just lob it in there when he needs to.” Abbrederis was asked about athletes making money on the college level and how he met his wife, Rachel. It was very clear that the crowd of 161 guests really enjoyed his company and they were glad he stopped by to help the Medical Center Foundation raise funds for their community programs. These programs include: Lifelines, Adult Day Care, Medical Transportation, SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) and a Fitness Program. It truly was a great night to remember.
