LIFELINES - What is a medical alert lifeline?

It is an alarm system designed to signal urgent attention and to summon emergency medical personnel.

LIFELINES - What happens if I don't have a landline anymore?

There are 3 different types of medical alert lifeline. You may choose from a landline unit, a cellular unit and a mobile unit.

LIFELINES - How much does a medical alert lifeline cost?

The cost can vary depending on the different models available. The range is between $25- $45.

What facilities in Hartford and Slinger does the Medical Transportation Program go to?

The taxi service goes to the Tamarack Adult Day Care, Aurora Medical Center of Washington County Hospital, Aurora Hartford Clinic, Aurora Slinger Clinic, the Fresenius Kidney Center in Slinger, Germantown Cancer Treatment Center, and there are free rides to the Albrecht Free Clinic there and back from Hartford and Slinger.

How much does it cost to use the Medical transportation Program?

The Hartford Taxi cost is $2.00 less than the original price. If your fare is $5.25, you only pay $3.25, one way.

The Washington County Taxi costs the rider only $2.00 one way.

What area does the Medical Transportation program cover?

The Medical Transportation Program serves Hartford and Slinger area.

S.A.N.E. - What is a sexual assault?

Sexual assault can be verbal, visual, or anything that forces a person to join in unwanted sexual contact or attention.

Can I go to the hospital and report what happened to me?

Yes. There are specially trained nurses that can help you and preserve the evidence on you forensically. The evidence will be used to help build a case against the perpetrator. These nurses are called SANE nurses. (sexual assault nurse examiner)

What do I do if I have been assaulted?

Get away from the attacker to a safe place as fast as you can. Then call 911 or the police. You can call the National Sexual Assault Hotline at 800-656-HOPE (4673).

My father has dementia, and my mother can't keep up with his needs during the day. Is there a place I can take him to give my mom some respite during the day?

Yes. Tamarack Adult Day Services is available for families needing assistance with a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

Is there any financial assistance available?

The MCF of Hartford has an application for financial assistance.

How much does it cost to go to Tamarack Adult Day Services?

Every guest is evaluated, and a level of care is determined. The range is between $65- $75 / day.

What are the hours of operation at Tamarack Adult Day Services?

The program is open from 7:00 am – 5:30 pm Monday – Friday.
