Dr. Kenitz is a board-certified optometrist for Aurora Medical Center. He offers comprehensive eye examinations for patients of all ages including infants and children. He also is trained and qualified to provide primary care for eye emergencies and urgent eye problems, and medical treatment of external eye problems. One of Dr. Kenitz’s specialty areas is contact lenses including disposables, gas permeable and bifocals.
He has been practicing optometry since 1980 and has gained special expertise with pediatric patients. He also is past president of the Wisconsin Optometric Association (1999). In 2003, he was named Wisconsin Optometrist of the Year. He currently is one of a small number of licensed optometrists in Wisconsin with the distinction of being a fellow in the American Academy of Optometry.
Kenitz has been on the MCF of Hartford board since 2012. He is proud to be a part of the board and enjoys working with a variety of community members who understand that working together we impact people’s lives. “The MCF of Hartford has been around for a long time. This community understands that there are people who need a helping hand here and there. We are a group that wants to help. It’s great to know that we are a community resource and everything we do contributes to the health of the community.”
Dr. Kenitz enjoys reading and all kinds of outdoor activities. He loves to spend time with his family and friends. His favorite Foundation program is the Medical Transportation Program because it truly impacts the availability of receiving medical care in a timely manner.
